New Virtual School Program Option

 In School News

PCA is now offering a virtual school option for families interested in attending but unable or uncomfortable with the idea of learning in a traditional classroom at this time. This new virtual program is available for students in grades K-12.

The new program, developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, is a one-year offering that allows families the option to choose what works best for them. All families who choose the virtual school option will have their child’s traditional classroom spot reserved for future school years. Interested families must commit to at least one full semester online, and PCA’s tuition and fees schedule has been updated to reflect this option.

PCA’s lower and middle school students will work with one teacher on a fixed schedule, alternating days and times based on other students in the program. All students in grades 8-12 will keep their schedule and join classes online during their scheduled class time; assessments will be digitally proctored. Chapel, resource, and gifted classes will also be available online, and extracurricular activities and athletics are optional for upper school students.

Please note! The deadline to apply for PCA’s virtual school program for both currently enrolled and new students is July 30.

For more information or to register for the program, contact Rachael Heartsill, PCA’s Lower School Principal or Katie Furr, PCA’s Upper School Principal.
