The success of Prattville Christian Academy and its students is a direct result of our exceptional talented faculty and staff members. Biography

Cody Adair serves as PCA’s Athletic Trainer but also teaches Bible part-time to upper school students. As a 2011 graduate of PCA, he enjoys giving back to the students what he received while on campus as a student years ago.

Coach Adair received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Harding University and a Master’s of Health Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of St. Augustine. He is married to Briana Adair and they attend Hunter Hills Church.

Biography

Rhiannon teaches first grade. She’s grateful for the opportunity to teach and incorporate her love for Christ in the classroom. As a Christian school graduate, teaching in the same environment is very important to her.

Miss Allison earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Education from Faulkner University. She attends Redland Hills Church and enjoys hanging out with her dog, Winston.

Stephanie Beers teaches Honors English 9, English 9, and English 12 and as well as serves as the Junior-Senior Co-Sponsor. She most enjoys the people at PCA. She looks forward to serving with other believers who genuinely desire to impact students in a way the honors God.

Mrs. Beers received her B.S. in Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a concentration in secondary English. She is married to Tod Beers and they have two children, Shannon and Rachel. They attend Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

Jeffery Bergdolt teaches high school science. He loves that he gets to help students reach both their academic and spiritual potential while teaching at PCA.

Mr.Bergdolt received a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Logistics Management. He is also a registered Radiologic Technologist. He is married to Jan Bergdolt and they have three children; Charlie, Abbie, and John David. They attend First Baptist Church in Prattville.

Tori Blackburn teaches 6th and 7th grade math. Mrs. Blackburn earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Alabama. She is married to Caleb, and they have two young children: Waylon and Noah. They attend Coosada Baptist Church. Tori was drawn to PCA for the family feel and tight-knit community environment.

Marsha Blankinchip serves as a Dyslexia Interventionist and Reading Coach as a part of PCA’s Resource Center. She most enjoys how PCA is intentional about teaching students how to have a servant’s heart and giving God all the glory while serving others.

Mrs. Blankinchip earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is married to Chad Blankinchip and they have two daughters, Abby and Ally. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church.

Lora Lee Boone teachers Spanish 1 and 2 in PCA’s upper school. She enjoys teaching about how other cultures can show students the need to share Jesus to people around the world as well as people in our community who speak another language.

Mrs. Boone earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University at Montgomery. She is married to John Boone and they have two children, Matthew and Andrew. They attend First Baptist Prattville where she sings in the choir and serves with the Mixtec Ministry (a ministry to a people group from Central America living in South Montgomery). Lora Lee also serves on Prattville City Council as a way to give back to her community.

Erin Bowman teaches middle and upper school Bible and serves on PCA’s spiritual leadership team. She loves the administration, their dedication to serving the Lord, and how everyone is always willing to help. She also enjoys the students’ authenticity and motivation to do well in all areas of their lives!

Mrs. Bowman received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish and a Master’s in Education from Harding University. She is married to Randy Bowman, and they have four children, Mihaela, Noah, Lannom, and Jorja. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church, where she volunteers in the children’s ministry.

Clay Boyd serves as PCA’s Assistant Middle School Principal. He believes that being a follower of Christ has allowed him to create a standard for himself that is contrary to the world, and he wants to share that with students who are discovering who they are and how their walk with Christ can change the world.

Mr. Boyd earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Auburn Montgomery. After nine years of classroom experience, he’s using the skills required to teach varied grade levels and coach different sports to impact PCA’s middle school students and provide another strong, Christian male presence for students of all ages to emulate on campus. Clay is married to Victoria, and they have two children, AnnRenee and Jarrett Latner. He attends Hunter Hills Church.

Janet Branch teaches middle school Science. She loves science and the amazing world God made. She enjoys being in PCA’s Christian atmosphere, where she can teach about His creation through science.

Candace Burkey teaches K3. She attended Faulkner University, where she studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education. She has many years of Early Childhood Education experience and homeschooled her own children for over 10 years.  Candace started working in the lunchroom here at PCA, then became a full-time substitute.  She has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the PCA family for the last two years. She has served in areas such as Children’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and the Backpack Program in her local church. Candace is a mother to four amazing children Kage, Troy, Chloe and Olivia. She loves that PCA gives her the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with all who come through the doors on a daily basis.

Kaylon Cantrell

Kaylon Cantrell teaches junior high math and serves as the head volleyball coach. She loves the Christian atmosphere and the sense of family among co-workers. “When I’m at school, whether teaching or coaching, I don’t feel like I’m at work because I love what I do, and enjoy the people that are here with me.”

Miss Cantrell received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from Faulkner University. She attends Hunter Hills Church where she sings on the praise team, and enjoys coaching volleyball clinics and camps at the YMCA.

Mrs. Carr is a teacher’s aide and P.E. coach for K-5th grade. She is married to Jeremy, a PCA alum, and has two kids that attend PCA, Aiden and Caroline. Mrs. Carr and her family attend Hunter Hills Church where they serve in the children’s ministry and special needs ministry. Mrs. Carr loves PCA not only as a work environment, but as a family environment. It is a place they grew up involved around and learned about the Lord, and they want their children to experience the same thing. She hopes to serve as a light to children at the school and share God’s guidance however she can.

Kadi Chappell teaches K4. She is a 2014 PCA graduate and came back to teach at her alma mater because she loves the caring, Christ-centered environment.

Mrs. Chappell earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Troy University. She has one daughter, Addyson. They attend Coosada Baptist Church where she volunteers with the nursery and children’s ministry.

Stacey Clem teaches Honors English 10, English 11, and Honors English 11. Her favorite thing about PCA is the family atmosphere. She is excited about sharing her passion for analyzing literature and language from a biblical worldview.

Mrs. Clem received her Bachelor of Science in English and a Master of Science in English Education from Troy University. She also has a Foundation and Frameworks certification. She is married to Ted Clem and they have three children; Annalise, Alaina, and Andrew. Mrs. Clem attends Journey Church where she serves on the worship team and as a life group leader at church. Her family enjoys taking mission trips as well.

Robyn Davis teaches K4. Thirteen years ago, her children began attending PCA and have been positively impacted by teacher after teacher. She is now blessed to have the opportunity to teach at the school and share God’s love with her students.

Hayden Dean teaches 8th and 9th grade Bible and is an assistant football and soccer coach. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master in Administration from Faulkner University. Darian serves as a preschool teacher and is delighted to be a part of PCA!

Mrs. Delashaw earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology & a Minor in Business Administration from Troy University. Darian began as a substitute teacher at PCA and discovered her love for the Christian environment here at PCA and being able to teach children about Jesus daily.

Lindsey teaches first grade. She is excited and eager to be a part of the PCA team after meeting all the wonderful, Christ-driven individuals who help spread the gospel through Autauga County while educating future generations of leaders in the community, state, and country. Mrs. Duncan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Troy University and is working towards her Masters of Science in Education Psychology from Purdue University Global. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tate Duncan, and their adorable dog Chubs. She attends Liberty Baptist.

Charleyna East teaches 8th and 9th grade English. She has a strong passion for helping students and those she is around to grow their love for literature and the world around them. Each word, sentence, and phrase of literature helps open our eyes to God’s precious Word and to the world that He created. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, English, and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Children and Family Studies from Bryan College in Dayton, TN. Her favorite activities are going to the gym and hiking at different national parks throughout the country. She attends First Baptist Church in Prattville, where she is a member of the choir.

Ann Eller serves as a tutor in PCA’s Resource Center. She was introduced to PCA in 2013 and has love every minute on campus. 

Mrs. Eller earned a master’s degree in Social Science from Auburn Montgomery and has taught a variety of History and English classes until retirement in 2012. She is married to Rick Eller and they have two adult children and three grandchildren. She attends Glynwood Baptist Church. 

Alison Gardino

Mrs. Gardino is a 1st grade teacher. She has over 25 years of education experience in the public school system, and is thankful for the opportunity to teach at PCA.  She holds three degrees from the University of Montevallo: Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Elementary, Masters of Early Childhood, and EdS in Educational Leadership.

Mare Garunovic

Biography

Mare Garunovic teaches 3rd grade. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Biology from the University of Akron in Ohio. She ran the MAC Lab and taught computer applications at the middle school level.

Mrs. Garunovic and her husband, Bob, have two grown children who were also homeschooled throughout high school. She previously served on the leadership team in the local homeschool community and was actively involved in a homeschool cooperative for families. They currently attend Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She enjoys learning about history, education, and the Bible. She especially loves learning about God’s handiwork and pursuing things that are true, good, and beautiful. She wants to inspire students to succeed through academic and spiritual pursuits.

Jerry Greene teaches high school English and History. He loves the unity among leaders, staff and faculty at PCA directed to the spiritual growth of the students. Coach Greene is married to Monica and they have one daughter, Peri.

Biography

Mary Greer serves as PCA’s Tanglewood Coffee House Manager. In addition to serving coffee, her duties include connecting with students through mentoring, Bible study and small group activities. She loves being part of a Christian team that is focused on preparing future leaders.

Miss Greer received her Bachelor’s degree from Harding University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Alabama. Mary is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She attends Church of the Highlands and serve on the small groups team.

Marisa Guy

Biography

Marisa Guy teaches upper school English, Financial Planning, and Bible. She also sponsors PCA’s Model United Nations club. She excited to teach students about the bigger story, God’s story, through the lens of the literary canon. It’s a blessing to teach students how to become financially responsible so that they may be able to impact the kingdom without any barriers.

Mrs. Guy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Faulkner University. She is married to Josh Guy and they attend the Landmark Church of Christ.

Lisa Hardman teaches fifth grade Language Arts and Science. She enjoys working with students to help them grow in confidence, character, and develop a love of learning. Kayla Herrington serves as a Dyslexia Interventionist as a part of PCA’s Resource Center. Educating tomorrow’s leaders while centering ourselves in Christ is what drew her to PCA. She enjoys making meaningful and lasting connections with students and families while being supported academically and spiritually is an incredible blessing.

Mrs. Herrington earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She is currently completing her Masters of Education in Dyslexia Therapy. She is married to Chad Herrington and they have one son, Elijah. She and her family attend Hunter Hills.

Robert Holt teaches high school math and sponsors the school’s Junior Civitan Club. He likes the opportunity to teach in an environment that encourages children to grow both academically and spiritually.

Gennie Honel

Gennie Honel teaches P.E. in PCA’s lower school. She also coaches the school’s JV volleyball and softball teams, and is the assistant coach for the varsity volleyball and softball teams. She was drawn to PCA because of the great things she heard in the community about the school, especially the family atmosphere.

Coach Honel earned an associate’s degree from Southern Union State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Faulkner University. She attends Eastmont Baptist Church.

Elizabeth Jackson is a Kindergarten teacher. For years, as a parent of PCA students, she was impressed with the academics and spiritual emphasis that her children received, and now she’s excited to be a part of that enticement on a daily basis.

Ms. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo. She has two children; Sera and Andy. Her family attends Coosada Baptist Church where she volunteers in the preschool and children’s departments.

Amy Jolley tutors students in PCA’s Resource Center. She enjoys being able to come to work everyday to interact with other Christians that try to build each other up and teach our students about our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Jolley received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Faulkner University. She is married to Lance Jolley and they have two children, Claire Ellen and Megan. They attend Clanton Church of Christ where she serves as the Children’s Ministry Director and Secretary. She is a Girl Scout Troop leader, the Thorsby Swedish Queens’Director, and volunteers for the Relay for Life Committee and Strawberry Festival Committee in Chilton County. She also owns two small businesses, Pop Your Party and Primary Peach Tutoring.

Karen Jordan

Karen Jordan tutors students in grades 1-7 in PCA’s Resource Center. She believes in the school’s vision, so when she retired, she was a substitute teacher for a few years before accepting a part-time resource position.

Mrs. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University, two master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Administration from Troy University and Auburn Montgomery, respectively, and an Education Specialist Degree from Auburn Montgomery. She is married to Stanley, and they have three adult children and two grandchildren who attend PCA. Karen attends Prattmont Baptist Church, where she teaches and serves on various committees.

Renee Lantz

Renee Lantz teaches Spanish as an auxiliary class for grades K3-7. She enjoys PCA because of the focus on raising students who love and serve the Lord and others.
Mrs. Lantz earned a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Texas Tech University. She is married to Ken Lantz, and they have four children, Katherine, Connor, Natalie, and Anna. She attends Centerpoint Church, where she volunteers with the tweens.

Ed Lovvorn

Ed Lovvorn teaches Pre-Calculus and Calculus. Outside of the classroom, he serves as an assistant football coach. His family was drawn to PCA for the opportunity to work in a Christian environment.

Mr. Lovvorn earned a BS Ed in Health and Physical Education and minor in Math Education from Georgia Southwestern State. In addition, he received a M Ed in Administration and Supervision from Georgia College and State University. He is married to Lisa and they have two adult children, John and Rob. Amanda McHenry serves as a second-grade teacher on campus. She desires to invest in the next generation by ministering to the students’ hearts, trusting the Lord to do the work, and educating their minds to become great leaders worldwide. She is excited to fulfill the great commission alongside her colleagues.

Mrs. McHenry earned an Elementary Education degree from Faulkner University. She is married to Jason, and they have five children. They attend Marbury Baptist Church, where she teaches Sunday School, and her husband leads worship. Over the past two decades, Amanda has served in various capacities, from Family Ministry Director at Centerpoint Wetumpka to working at Pine Level Elementary School.

Derrick Moncrief

Derrick Moncrief  teaches Geography for PCA’s middle school students. In addition to his classroom duties, he serves as the head coach for middle school basketball and JV football.

Mr. Moncrief earned earned Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with a minor in Political Science from Troy University. He has more than 20 years of experience in both public and private schools, serving in many faculty, coaching, and administrative roles. Mr. Moncrief is a native of Prattville and married to Demecia Moncrief. Together, they have seven adult children. He attends First Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as an ordained deacon.

Lisa NeSmith teaches a three-year-old class in PCA’s preschool program. She enjoys teaching because she can help create a positive school experience for young students and help them learn about God’s love.

Mrs. NeSmith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (with a minor in Spanish) from UAB. She began her education career by teaching adults English as a Second Language and served as an ESL aide in a public school setting. Lisa is married to Kerry, and they have two daughters, Alexandra and Laura Beth. She attends Coosada Baptist Church, where she volunteers in the nursery.

Mrs. Peavy holds two Bachelor degrees in Education as highly-qualified from Auburn University at Montgomery – one is a collaborative degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an emphasis in literacy for K-12 and the other a middle school science degree. She is married to Mike and they have two grown children, Michael Ann and Micah. Nancy Rambo teaches Kindergarten. She loves the great Christian atmosphere with wonderful co-workers. She enjoys working with students and seeing the little light blubs turn on and being able to relate all that we do to God’s word.

Mrs. Rambo received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University. She is retired from Montgomery Public Schools after 25 years of service. She is married to Steve Rambo and they have two children and two grandchildren. She attends Vaughn Park Church of Christ.

Tina Rendleman teaches Kindergarten. Mrs. Rendleman earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Auburn University in Montgomery. She is married to Ryan, and they have four daughters, one son-in-law, and two grandchildren. She attends Heritage Baptist Church in Prattville, serving as a Sunday school teacher and volunteering in the nursery. She has spent 28 years teaching in a variety of settings: public school, homeschool, and half-day church school. She loves teaching children and pouring into their lives while encouraging them to grow into who God has made them to be. Jason Roberson
Upper School Teacher / Head Basketball Coach


Biography

Jason Roberson teaches Bible and serves as the head coach for both varsity basketball teams as well as the administrator for PCA’s soccer program. He enjoys the people and strong Christian atmosphere.

Mr. Roberson received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Faulkner University. He is married to Lori Roberson and they have three children, Malia, Carson and Brady. He attends Centerpoint Fellowship Church.

Lauren Rome
Media Specialist and Science Olympiad


Biography

Lauren Rome is the Media Specialist and teaches Science Olympiad.. She enjoys teaching in a Christian environment and helping children grow closer in their relationship with Christ.

Mrs. Rome received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University. She is married to Jason and they have three children, Joseph, Sam, and Annie. She attends Prattville First United Methodist where she volunteers with various youth and children’s program and activities.

Celisa Schumpert

Biography

Celisa Schumpert teaches lower and middle school art and Bible. Mrs. Schumpert enjoys that every aspect of education is infused with faith at PCA and looks forward to investing in students and helping them see the beauty of God’s creation through art.

Mrs. Schumpert earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Mississippi State University. She is married to Scott Schumpert, PCA’s Campus Minister, and together they have three children; Anna Lauren, Kyle, and Caroline. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church where she leads two small group Bible studies.

Biography

Scott Schumpert serves as PCA’s Campus Minister and teaches Bible classes. Having been in youth ministry most his life, he was drawn to ministering to students and their families, as well as the faculty and staff at PCA.  Scott enjoys being a part of a family’s journey and considers it an honor to invest in their lives and watch God take them to places they never imagined.

Mr. Schumpert earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Huntingdon College, and attend seminary school at Wesley Biblical Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He is married to Celisa Schumpert and have three children, Anna Lauren, Kyle and Caroline. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church where he’s involved in several areas, including small groups and mission teams.

Sheri Sessions

Biography

Sheri Sessions teaches upper school Art. She loves the camaraderie of coworkers that work toward one common goal.

Mrs. Sessions earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Judson College. She is married to Steven Session and they have two children, Rachael and Thomas. She attends Pintlala Baptist Church.

Biography

Steven Sessions teaches Elementary and Middle School music as well as serves as the PCA Choir Director. He most enjoys that PCA puts God first and students are encouraged to grow as leaders who serve sacrificially as Christ did for us.

Mr. Sessions received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Huntingdon College. He is married to Sheri Sessions and they have two children, Rachael and Thomas. They attend Pintlala Baptist Church where he volunteers with the church’s community service program.

Kimberly Simpson, M.Ed.
Upper School Teacher / Cheer Director


Biography

Kimberly Simpson teaches life science in grades 9-12. Her classes include Biology, Honors Biology, Honors Anatomy and Physiology, and AP Environmental Science. In addition to teaching, she is PCA’s Cheer Director and Senior Class Sponsor. She most enjoys the family atmosphere at PCA. In addition to teaching, she is PCA’s Cheer Director

Mrs. Simpson received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Education from the University of North Alabama. She is married to Josh Simpson and they have three children, Marlee Grace, Makenna and Tillman. She attends Coosada Baptist Church.

Shanna teaches K4. Mrs. Sims earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Troy University. She is married to Kiley Sims, and they have three sons: Bryce, Brayden, and Brennan. They attend Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where Shanna serves in the Children’s ministry and nursery. She is excited about the opportunity to work in a Christian environment where she can teach kids about Jesus and His love for them.

Trent Staggs

Biography

Trent Staggs is a Personal Finance, Government & Economics, and World History teacher. In addition to his classroom duties, he is also PCA’s Head Wrestling Coach. He enjoys the ability to teach, coach, and work in a Christian environment that considers the whole student, parent, and educator that comes through the doors of PCA.

Coach Staggs earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. He is married to Melissa, and they have two children, Will and Elijah.

Randy Stough
Upper School Teacher / Head Softball Coach


Biography

Randy Stough teaches Driver’s Education, Heath, and P.E. He is also the Head Softball Coach. Randy enjoys working with fellow Christians at PCA who are striving to make a spiritual influence in the lives of children.

Mr. Stough received a bachelor’s degree at Troy State University in K-12 P.E. and a certification in Driver’s Education at Alabama State University. He is married to Michelle Stough and they have two children and four grandchildren. He attends Elmore Church of Christ.

Michelle Stough teaches Chemistry. She enjoys the Christian atmosphere.

Mrs. Stough graduated from Troy University with a degree in Secondary Comprehensive Science. She is married to Randy Stough and they have two children and four grandchildren.   She attends Elmore Church of Christ.  She spends her free time with her family and traveling.

Kaitlyn Waite

Kaitlyn Waite teaches 5th grade and helps with PCA’s varsity softball team as an assistant coach. She enjoys the Christian atmosphere and being able to speak Christ in students.

Mrs. Waites earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Troy University, a Master of Science in Management, and a Master of Elementary Education from Faulkner University. She attends Ridge Church in Wetumpka.

Melanie Ward serves as a teacher in PCA’s Resource Center. She most enjoys the opportunity to have a positive influence on the lives of young people. 

Mrs. Ward has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Auburn University at Montgomery. She also earned a Professional Educator Certificate that is valid through 2027. Mrs. Ward is married to Bruce and they have three children, Evan, Forrest, and Madeline. She attends First Baptist Church Prattville where she is active in the adult choir.

Biography

LaTarial Williams is a Physical Education Teacher and basketball coach for PCA. She enjoys that everyone is one family and has one goal – to teach our students to mature spiritually and encourage high academic standards.

Coach Williams received an Associate of Physical Education from Snead State Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Huntingdon College. She is a member of Landmark Church.

Emily Wingard

Biography

Emily Wingard teaches second grade. She is excited for the opportunity to combine two passions – education and cultivating a love for Jesus. 

Mrs. Wingard received a Collaborative degree in elementary and special education from Huntingdon College. She is married to Mac Wingard, and they have two children, Emmett Ivy. They attend Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where Emily serves in the nursery.
