Whether you are new to the area or want to explore your options, your interest in Prattville Christian Academy is appreciated.

Who Are We?
Prattville Christian Academy (PCA) is a private, independently incorporated organization dedicated to providing academic excellence in a caring Christian environment. PCA is a non-denominational school, not under the direction of any church, and is led by an independent board of Christian directors. All faculty and staff members are faithful Christians active in their churches. PCA’s mission is to advance God’s Kingdom by providing an education that prepares hearts and minds to follow Christ.

Prattville Christian Academy is committed to building faith in God, love of His Word, and respect for His creation. School administrators are committed to providing a quality, Christ-centered, Bible-based education in a caring Christian environment, with emphasis on the individual and the importance of the family without preference to gender, race, or national origin.

Unlike some private schools, PCA’s funding does not come from large foundations, churches, or a single group that dictates campus decisions. Instead, PCA is partially funded by tuition and fees and the gap is raised through The Panther Fund, PCA’s annual fund campaign.

Where Have We Been?
Prattville Christian Academy was founded in 1997 with 13 students, as a vision of Don and Marilyn Greer. At that time, there were few options for a Christian-based education in the Prattville-Millbrook area. Classes were held in Hunter Hills Church a few hundred yards from where the current buildings stand. In 2000, as the school grew it became necessary to build the first building, which is now PCA’s lower school building. Soon after that, the school had outgrown that building and was in need of even more classroom space. In 2008, construction began on the upper school building which houses PCA’s gym, cafeteria, and Tanglewood Coffee House.

Where Are We Now?
PCA has grown to an average enrollment of 740 students in grades K3-12. PCA’s course of study includes classes in math, language arts, social studies, and sciences. In addition to core academics, students enjoy instruction in physical education and liberal arts, such as music, art, drama, and foreign language. Bible classes and devotional periods are part of each student’s day, and a range of extracurricular activities including drama, journalism, Engineering and Healthcare Academies, Model UN, as well as a robust athletic program.

Accreditation by AdvancEd and the National Christian School Association (NCSA) differentiates PCA from other private schools in the area. Credits earned at are transferable to other public and private schools as well as colleges and universities throughout the world. State-certified teachers are foremost among the many benefits that PCA’s educational approach provides to families. PCA employs some of the most talented and devoted teachers in this area.

Where Are We Going?
God’s blessings have allowed Prattville Christian Academy to continue tremendous growth since its start in 1997. In order to continue advancing God’s Kingdom, PCA’s administrators and board of directors continually discuss the expansion of programs, facilities, and the mission.
