Mary Grace Story Named Regional Bryant-Jordan Scholar
PCA senior Mary Grace Story was recently honored at the Bryant-Jordan Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet in Birmingham, Alabama. Mary Grace was selected from student athletes across Alabama as the Bryant-Jordan Scholar for Class 3A, Region 3.
The Bryant-Jordan Student Athlete Awards Banquet recognizes Alabama high school students who are considered the most outstanding among their peers because of their high level of athletic and academic success. Nomination criteria includes grade point average, class standing, college test scores, sports played, as well as student and civic leadership. For her nomination, Mary Grace received a $3,000 scholarship and the opportunity to interview for the Auburn Football Lettermen Club Scholarship.
Mary Grace maintains a 4.3+ grade point average while also being active in tennis, basketball, cross country, and track as well as many extracurricular clubs and activities. After graduation, she will attend Auburn University.
“Mary Grace is very deserving of this honor,” said Tara Osborne, PCA’s athletic director. “She represents all that it means to be a student-athlete. She was among other incredible nominees in our region, so for her to be selected as the Bryant-Jordan representative is a big deal.”
